Cookie policy
This page lists everything platted.co.uk stores on your device, what each item is for, and how to change your mind. It covers this website only. The Platted app shows no adverts; the usage counts it sends, and the Settings switch that stops them, are described in the privacy policy.
The short version
- Nothing is stored on your device but your own choice until you press Accept all, or tick a category and save.
- Before you choose, Google's tag loads in "consent mode": it tells Google a page was viewed, without cookies or anything that identifies you. Google uses these anonymous counts to estimate visits it cannot measure.
- Reject all is one press, the same as Accept all, and the site works exactly the same either way.
- You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page.
- We ask again after 12 months, or sooner if this policy changes.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar space in your browser for a website's own settings. UK law, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, says we need your consent before we store anything on your device that is not strictly necessary to run the site. Your consent record itself is strictly necessary, so it is the one thing we keep without asking.
Change or withdraw your choice
Press Cookie settings here or at the foot of any page. Turn a category off and save, and we stop using those cookies straight away and delete the ones we can reach. Google's own cookies on google.com are outside our control; you can clear them in your browser's settings.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Every major browser explains how in its help pages. Blocking all cookies does not stop this site working.

Built from a scan of this site with our live tag container on 25 September 2026: the cookies below are the ones that actually appeared after Accept all, with the expiry each one was given. Names beginning with an underscore are set by Google's scripts once you allow them, and their exact names can change when Google updates its products; we re-scan and update this table when we change what we load.

Analytics
Set only if you allow Analytics. Provider: Google Ireland Limited, running Google Analytics 4 for Weftworks Limited. Google Analytics data is shared with Google, and Google may use it for its own purposes, which is why we ask rather than rely on the analytics exemption in UK law.

Advertising

Google and your data
Google Tag Manager loads on every page with every permission set to denied. In that state Google's scripts set no cookies, read no storage and send only cookieless signals: that a page was viewed, the page address, and a random number that is not kept between pages. Google calls this consent mode. If you reject everything, that is all that ever happens.
When you allow Analytics or Advertising, Google Tag Manager loads Google's scripts and your browser talks to Google's servers, which may be outside the UK. Google is a processor for the analytics we run, and a separate controller for the data it uses itself. Transfers to Google LLC in the United States are covered by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Google's standard contractual clauses. The privacy policy has the detail.
We do not sell data, and there are no advertising networks on this site other than Google.
